Up Close and Personal: Beautiful Day...

Coucou all. I hope y'all  had a great weekend.
Time has come for a new getting-to-know-me session, one random thought at a time.
Here we go!

Q1/ A politician.
Nelson Mandela.
Boy... how I wish he could run for French or US presidency. or Both. :-)
This year's elections ought to be interesting though. From Hollande vs. Sarkozy to Santorum Romney (?) vs. Obama and of course Biya vs. Biya. Wait. I'm late? he's been re-elected already? oh well...

Q2/ A book
Nothing has quite touched me as much as "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. Such a great story teller.
Same for "Je voudrais que quelqu'un m'attende quelque part" by Anna Gavalda.  My eyes were red for days both from reading and crying. lol.

Oh and for a good laugh, Hands down "Bossy pants" By Tina Fey.

Q3/ Can't wait to see/do/hear
A Movie: "Les Intouchables" with Omar Sy
An Exhibition: Freud @ the National Portrait Gallery. yes m'aam. It's Royalty approved
oh and if only I could see my god daughter more often...Can't wait for her to grow so we can have one of those deep "conversations" a la Carrie Bradshaw...

Q4/ A quote
"There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure"*

Q5/ Last thought on Valentine's day
Gratitude is the memory of the heart.
So I really thought of all the people I've met in my life.  From my family to my exes who have helped shape the person- from the foetus to the baby ;-) and from the girl to the woman ;-) ;-) - that I am today: my values, my aspirations but also the doubts I'm fighting to erase.  I'm forever grateful my path has crossed theirs and wish them well from the bottom of my heart. After all Real Love does not need a Happy ending. It simply never ends...

Alright that's it for today.

Thank you so much for reading and stay tuned for next Up close and Personal which will bring a male perspective to this very girly blog world of mine ;-)

Wishing you all a great week ahead filled with Beautiful Days**

Till next time.

Yours truly,

-S
